Organic
Our organics are free to roam while they enjoy a wonderful view of the Sierra Nevada Foothills.  The chickens are also on a vegetarian diet which supports its authenticity, quality and taste.  Next time you are at the butchers' counter, we invite you to Taste the Difference.

Roaster
Roasters, The Joe Louis of the poultry world, not quite at the 200lbs mark like boxing heavyweights, weighs in at a solid 7.00lbs plus, and will take a mallard duck on any day of the week. In all seriousness a roaster is a slow growing chicken meant for the tender meat while sold as a whole body bird. Ask yourself this holiday or small gathering if a turkey is too much a roaster is just right.

Air Chilled
Both ABF and Organic Fulton Valley have the ability to give you a quality product at the next level of standards. Air chilling is a European standard not widely used in Western practices. Our processed poultry is circulated in a low temperature room while on a chain system delivering a 100% chicken flavor, crisper skin and ensuring you won't be paying for a watered down product. This practice also saves water as traditional methods of chilling require immersing processed poultry in communal baths.

Halal                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Fulton Valley Farms Halal specialists are at our plant two days per week to handle each bird as it comes into the facility. The designated Halal processing specialists follow Islamic tradition of Dhabīḥah, ensuring our Halal products meet Islamic law in regards to diet. A certification group, Sharia Council, has certified our Halal program and supports our efforts.

The necks are left on during the chilling process to easily identify these birds. Our Halal select birds are much like our other products as they have never been administered antibiotics, hormones or animal byproducts. They are fed a strict, healthy vegetarian diet consisting of mostly corn and soy, year round.
